One of the ‘must-sees’ in Edinburgh in Dean Village. Dean Village is situated northwest of the city center of Edinburgh. The name comes from the word dene meaning deep village. It is perfect for a quiet walk away from the busy streets. Having said that, there is always some tourists and locals alike exploring this beautiful village.

The stunning orange/red building is Well Court, which was originally built to house workers that worked in or nearby the village. The clock tower is situated above what was the social hall. In 2007 renovation works were done on Well Court to restore it to its original look. The Water of Leith flows through Dean Village. Close by is Dean Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, which are both free admission. Also close is the area of Stockbridge, where a market is held every Sunday.
